Hi Everyone!

First of all, let me introduce myself.

 

 
My name is Lelly Jahrina Nurlaeli. I am a 4th year English education student at Pakuan University, Bogor. Where is Pakuan University?  


Pakuan University is one of the universities in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. located on Jl. Pakuan, RT.02/RW.06, Tegallega, Central Bogor District, Bogor City, West Java, 16129. 


This time I had the opportunity to participate in a SEA-Teacher program organized by SEAMEO, so in this blog, I want to share interesting experiences, and maybe it can be an inspiration for the readers of this blog. Follow my interesting journey! 

Where Will  I Go? 

I went to Dong Thap University, located in Cao Lanh town in Dong Thap Province.                                 



I am staying in the dormitory at Dong Thap University for 28 days, and I will do teaching practice at Future School (Trường Tương Lai), in Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap Province, Vietnam.

Farewell & Best Wishes

 Time To Say Good Bye A few days before returning to Indonesia, Dong Thap University held a farewell party for Sea Teacher Batch 9 students. At this farewell party, Sea Teacher students, students, and lecturers from Dong Thap University had fun together, such as playing games, singing, and dancing together.   After the farewell party came the farewell day, which was the last day there. To go to SGN airport, we had to first go to Ho Chi Minh City because the distance from Ho Chi Minh City to SGN airport is quite close. We went there on 6/10/2023 because we left in the morning. We had breakfast together with one of the lecturers from Dong Thap University.  After a fairly long journey from Cao Lanh City to Ho Chi Minh City, which is about 3–4 hours, we finally arrived in Ho Chi Minh City around the afternoon.  Summary and Suggestion     The Purpose of  Practicum   Develop and improve the teaching skills of prospective teachers and learn about systems, teaching methods, and student characteristics. This is a platform that facilitates prospective teachers to experience teaching abroad, applying the knowledge gained during the lectures. Procedure of Practicum   The first thing to do before teaching practice is to conduct class observations, find out the characteristics of students because each student has different characteristics, identify the learning methods used by the teacher, what the usual learning steps are, and find out how the teacher manages time and class. Campus Tour    After the first day of arriving at Dong Thap University, all Sea Teacher program students conducted a campus tour accompanied by lecturers. To see the facilities, infrastructure, and extracurricular activities at Dong Thap University.  In front of Dong Thap University     Library    Student dormitories and Offices  Pottery craftsmanship    Office and Classrooms   Welcoming Meeting     The welcome meeting was held on September 13, 2023, from 19:00–21:00 at Lecture Theatre 1, Dong Thap University. At this event, all the students who participated in the Sea Teacher program held a welcome meeting to exchange cultures and introduce each university.
